Applications and qualifications
Applications must be sent via the registration form. Each individual or group applicant will be assessed in a substantial qualification process.
In addition to the qualification process, the order in which applications are submitted is of key importance. The organisers will inform about the results on an ongoing basis, up to 7 days from receiving the application. For this reason, we strongly recommend to apply as early as possible, and not to leave it to the final deadline. The recruitment process will end on 15 November 2020.
The deadline for payment confirmation is 23 November 2020. Applicants who have not paid by this date will have their applications invalidated and will not be able to participate in the Academy, even if they meet all other requirements.
Applications can be made by individuals and/or ensembles, and will be assessed by the admissions committee. Participants (individuals and ensembles) will get a place at the Academy only as a result of a positive evaluation of the committee. The committee will assign places in appropriate ensembles to people who have applied as an individuals, according to their musical and technical capabilities.
As part of the requirements in the registration form, it is also a requirement to attach a shared recording, posted on an internet playback video service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, YouTube or Vimeo. Applicants are free to choose the repertoire, but duration must be a maximum of 5 minutes. The recording will form the main basis on which the applicants are considered for participation in the Academy and, in the case of individual applicants, ensemble allocation.
